Based in Shanghai, China. We’re a collective group of DJ / digital musicians.
We host a popular monthly music event in Shanghai (C’s bar, free entry, last Thursday of every month) and another monthly with Live Electronic music.
We produce and play music that is very eclectic, but you might categorize it under electronic, electro, electroclash, IDM, punk, indie, innovative, breakcore, techno, synthpop, abstract hip hop, ambient, minimal, 8 bit chiptune, bhangra, ghetto, and everything else. Does that narrow it down?
The Antidote’s regular line-up is: B6 [Shanghai], MHP [Shanghai], Fish [Shanghai], Ozone [San Francisco/Shanghai], Shanghai_Ultra [Scotland/Shanghai], Amnjk [Japan/Shanghai], R3 [Australia/Shanghai]. We have special guests each event.
If you’re in Shanghai, come to our party twice a month (and look for our special events in addition). We also frequently play other cities in China, Asia, and elsewhere.
